Struggling to Cut Your Toenails? Safe Nail Care at Home in S8

Reaching your toenails gets harder with age, arthritis, back pain, reduced eyesight or simply a bad hip. Nails also thicken over the years, and ordinary clippers stop coping. It is one of the most common reasons people in Sheffield look for foot care, and there is nothing unusual about needing help with it.

When trimming becomes a job for a practitioner

  • Nails that are thickened, crumbly or discoloured
  • Nails curving into the side of the toe, or a history of ingrown nails
  • You cannot comfortably reach or clearly see your feet
  • You have diabetes, take blood thinners, or have poor circulation

How the visit works

Nails are reduced to a comfortable length, thinned where they have become bulky, and filed smooth so nothing catches on socks or bedding. Edges and nail folds are cleared carefully to reduce the chance of an ingrown nail. Instruments are sterilised between every client.

The whole appointment usually takes about half an hour, in your own chair. Add the warm soak with exfoliation and it takes around 50 minutes, with noticeably smoother skin at the end.

Keeping on top of it

Toenails typically need attention every six to ten weeks. Booking your next visit at the end of the current one is the easiest way to avoid discomfort building up again.
